English is of course my first language though i do know a little bit of putonghua (as i had 12 months worth of lesons in aus)and im picking up cantonese fast. Our daughter, Tallulah, is having her fourth birthday party in two weeks' time and in lieu of presents, we are going to ask people to bring a second hand toy or book which we can donate to an orphanage or charity. Please can you tell me if there is a minimum age for volunteers? My daughter is 17 and is available on Friday afternoons. Her own school finishes at 1pm. She is studying for an International Baccalaureate diploma at South Island School. She is very good with children and is particularly good at art. She needs to fulfill a `service' criteria for her course, which is a commitment of 50 hours in total.
