Volunteer at the Po Leung Kuk orphanage

May 15, 2011

Do you live in Hong Kong?

Consider volunteering some time at the Po Leung Kuk orphanage. Having been involved in helping the children of the Po Leung Kuk orphanage for nearly 11 years now, I can assure you that the rewards are huge.

They may be Hong Kong’s neediest children, but they are also some of the most fun children to hang around with. In the below video, Andy Mossman and Michelle McEwan explain about the Language Training Program, supported by the Foreign Correspondents’ Club Charity Fund. It is a great way to volunteer some time helping others.

UPDATE: For more information, please email Michelle at: michellem at ltp.edu.hk

Here’s further postings on the Language Training Program, now supported by UBS and the FCC Charity Ball

HI Thomas. Our daughter, Tallulah, is having her fourth birthday party in two weeks' time and in lieu of presents, we are going to ask people to bring a second hand toy or book which we can donate to an orphanage or charity. Would PLK be interested do you think? I hope we will have about 20-30 books or toys to donate. I would like to bring Tallulah when we deliver the books and toys. Would that be possible? I am reachable on sumeithompsonhk@gmail.com. If it's easier, please just send me the contact details of the appropriate person at PLK and I can speak with them directly.

  • meech

I have 4-5 large boxes of brand new preschool toys that I would like to donate to a worthy cause. They are samples and are all brand new.
