Online Responsibilities:
Originating, assigning, editing and producing Asia-based stories for TIME.com; managing online coverage of regional news stories. Directing the daily upkeep of TIME.com during Asia business hours. Managing overnight production duties for NY-based editors and producers. Working with TIME correspondents regionwide and directing a staff of Hong Kong-based writer/reporter/researchers and photo editors to develop stories for TIME.com. Liaising with London and NY based producers/editors on TIME.com coverage and large-scale, longer-term projects. Working with the print editors and journalists to create complementary web-based content.
Print Responsibilities:
Originate, assign and edit Asia-based stories for the weekly print edition of TIME magazine. Work with writers, reporters, designers and photo dept to update U.S. magazine stories and Briefing sections (Moment, Verbatim, Numbers) for an international audience.
