ZDNet: Digital marketing not up to speed in Asia

Oct 16, 2010

I recently spoke with Jamie Yap from ZDNet Asia about the state of digital marketing in Asia. In her article “Digital Marketing Not Up To Speed in Asia“, a number of issues were highlighted, including:

- The growth of Social Media in Asia, as reported by Nielsen

- One of the challenges in implementing a Social Media strategy is dealing with Asia’s wildly different digital ecosystems. She quoted me about this point and the point that it is extremely difficult to keep up with the changes in Social Media in Asia.

- The upcoming trend in Asia will be “mobile engagement with consumers”. Markets like Japan and Korea, which are well along in this area, as well as Indonesia and India, which are certain to follow suit. Crampton reasoned that the mobile trend is set to rise due to the increase use of the mobile Internet even as smartphone prices drop.

  • There are certainly not many websites with information like this man! Bookmarked!

  • There is a lot of ways to get training. The most popular way is, of
course, going through the internet. There are tons of websites devoted to
training people how to trade the markets. Many people can learn information
from someone who is successful in the markets, yet they can not mimmick what
the trader has been able to do.

  • There are so many businessmen all over the world now who had already tested and proven the efficiency of internet in the field of business. Unlike in the past years all things were been done manually, today with the presence of technology all things are been made possible.
