Yan Liu graduated from the School of Management at Xi’an Jiaotong University. Having spent eight years in IT, three years in telecom, and five years in the internet industry, she has rich experience in team establishment, business planning and development for start-up companies.
Before entering Ogilvy, Yan established teams in both Beijing and Shanghai covering sales, customer service, creative, media, and research analysis. She has served a variety of international and homegrown brands such as Intel, HP, Lenovo, MSN, Nokia, Moto, Samsung, LG, Coca-cola, Meng Niu, Li Ning, Metersbonwe, Estee Lauder, Toyota, G-Tax, Shell, Tetra Pak and Mars, et cetera.
Yan specializes in IWOM marketing, opinion leadership marketing, advertising, PR, on-the-ground marketing, new media marketing, and IWOM analysis. As a founding member of China’s Social Media Word of Mouth Marketing Metrics, she is an expert in various social media subfields including twitter, SNS, Blog, LBS, BBS, Video-sharing, IM and Wiki. Her contributions have catalyzed the development of Web 2.0 marketing in China.
