First considering the material he covered gave me an in-depth knowledge of the Jewish History in Shanghai and how it developed. We were able to see first hand the living conditions Jews endured in the Shanghai Ghetto during WWII and the actual temple they prayed in. What I most admired about Dvir Bar-Gal is his devotion in educating people from around the world about the Jews of Shanghai and how desperately needed is a memorial in their honor. Divir Bar-Gal I believe is the one to make this dream a reality. I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Shanghai, China.
