Prior to joining OgilvyAction Singapore, Chris Martell was Board Director of integrated marketing agency, iris Worldwide, responsible for driving some of the agency’s largest accounts, Sony Ericsson, HP and Adidas, in Asia. During his time with iris he spent 18 months in Beijing, setting up iris China and developed a successful Retail Centre of Excellence model within the network. With over a decade of industry experience, Chris has delivered best-in-class retail and shopper marketing programmes, whilst ensuring 360 integration with key client and agency partners.
Chris arrived in Asia in 2005, joining TBWA\Tequila Singapore as Group Account Director. There he headed up their key global account, Singapore Airlines (Krisflyer) as well as leading and developing brands regionally such as Chivas, Martell, Motorola, O2, Bentley and locally J&J and Sentosa.
Prior to Asia, Chris developed a number of long term retail marketing programmes in the UK, including Tetley Tea’s ‘Sports Stuff for Schools’ cause related campaign, the Royal Mail’s Young Stamp Collectors club and Blockbusters retail loyalty program. He also delivered in store and promotional communications for clients such as bar and restaurant chain O’Neils, high street bank Alliance & Leicester and FMCG brands Carte Noir, Heineken and HP.
His experience covers many key industries including FMCG, Retail, Financial Services and Leisure. He has been responsible for strategic planning and developing marketing strategies in all core disciplines of promotional, retail, direct & relationship marketing as well as gaining an in depth understanding of channel management.
Chris holds the Institute of Direct Marketing (UK) post graduate diploma and more recently gained a distinction in a Masters degree (UK) studying Strategic Marketing Management.
Chris lives in Singapore with his wife Amelia and their two extremely energetic sons.
