Cancer Social Entrepreneur Travel Scholarships
May 27, 2009
Calling all social entrepreneurs dealing with cancer!!!
Lance Armstrong’s foundation, Livestrong.org – Disclosure: Ogilvy client – is looking to gather the world’s best Social Entrepreneurs in Cancer to attend their Dublin summit Aug 24-26.
Participants will receive a travel scholarship to attend. I recently met Doug Ulman (@twitter.com/livestrongceo), CEO of the Livestrong foundation and the program sounds excellent. They may also be including training on how social entrepreneurs can use social media most effectively.
More details on the meeting and scholarships here:
The LIVESTRONG Global Cancer Summit will provide a platform on which world leaders, organizations and individuals can achieve greater visibility and resonance for their efforts. Up to 250 organizations and individuals making extraordinary commitments will be invited to attend the LIVESTRONG Global Cancer Summit. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with other advocates, network, gain media exposure and access tools and resources. Travel scholarships will be available for invited participants.
Deadline is technically June 1, but since I only just heard about the scholarships, perhaps I can ask Doug to make a slight extension of the deadline if you contact me.
