Maslow’s Hierarchy of Geek Needs

While Maslow is famed for his Hierarchy of Human Needs, I spent a lunch in Paris with David Weinberger and Ouriel Ohayon debating the Maslow’s Hierarchy of Geek Needs.

Any other suggestions?

  3. Yes, Apple should go under the missing safety and security tag, as in: “I have a Windows PC but I’d feel some much safer if I could afford an Apple G4″

Nice work on the Surin piece, by the way.

  12. Natural aging. Even if you put Laptop Battery away and never use it, Dell xps m1530 battery will die one day. Let me explain things a little bit more. You have to understand that, it doesn’t matter how good you care about your , it will lose performance and one day it will die. Of course, your computer battery exploits will slow the process of aging of your replacement laptop battery. In warmer environments, while the laptop is used and your battery gets warm, your battery will drain energy quicker. For this reason, the number one rule is: Keep your notebook batteries cool.
