Mobile: China’s Women Start Surfing

Sep 8, 2010

China’s mobile Internet users may be overwhelmingly male (89.1%), but research from Analysys shows that the number of women browsing on their phones has jumped from 5.1% of mobile phone surfers in 2009 to 10.9% in 2010.

China is, of course, the world’s largest mobile phone market, meaning that a gender shift this swift will likely spawn a new kinds of female-focused phones.
