Baidu.tw hacked to show Google?

Jan 13, 2010

Not sure what this means, but when I go to baidu.tw, Google’s homepage appears. Has someone hacked the page to support Google in their stance against the Beijing government?

UPDATE: Robin Wauters of Techcrunch did the legwork on this and found that someone Baidu has not been hacked in Taiwan. The site Baidu.tw is NOT owned by Baidu. Someone was just playing a number on Baidu (and me!).

  2. I don't know, that is why I am asking. Kevin Huang says Baidu's regular site is taiwan.baidu.com. Not sure who owns baidu.tw

Looking at the registry information it is someone in China who has held it since 2005.
